Proof that not all caravan awnings are made equal, is more than evident within the new range of inflatable awnings released from one of the UK’s most respected manufacturers – Sunncamp.
A total of nine inflatable awnings were on display at their latest trade show exhibition together with a huge range of tents, camping equipment and accessories. Sunncamp’s reputation for producing excellent quality awnings packed full of features has certainly been maintained with many improvements to the existing range couple with the introduction of some very exciting new products.
Notably Sunncamp have a brand new flagship awning fabric – ProTec300D. So what’s the big deal with the new 2016 range of Kampa inflatable caravan awnings?
It’s a question we’re often asked, with so many manufacturers now producing ‘Air frame’ or inflatable awnings, what makes Kampa products stand out from the crowd? Well firstly Kampa are the only UK awning manufacturer to incorporate a single inflation point across their entire caravan awning range. Kampa’s patented tubes and valves allow the user to inflate their awnings from a single point and then, importantly, isolate each tube individually – making for a more durable and easy to maintain product.

With the reintroduction of the Kampa Fiesta awning during 2014 the popular Fiesta model had become a new generation inflatable product. Historically the Fiesta was one of Kampa's most popular product, simple to erect with a large usable floorplan incorporating excellent headroom and large, bright windows. With the ability to add one or two bedroom annexes to the awning, the Kampa Fiesta 350 fast became a favourite with both touring and weekend camping enthusiasts offering sleeping accommodation up to four people.
The Kampa Fiesta 350 Air inflatable awning kept all these features with the additional benefit of being super fast to pitch thanks to the superb Kampa patented AirFrame. Inflated from a single air valve all the internal air beams are connected together with a clever valve system allowing the user to isolate each section once pitched. The 2014 Kampa Fiesta Air 350 is available in two colours - blue/grey and two tone grey, with matching annexe colours. The ability to remove the side panel and zip in the annexe makes for a superb, flexible awning package.

Available from early 2015 the all new Kampa All Season awning range is probably the most radical awning designs to come out of the Kampa UK design team. The idea being to produce an all season porch which can be erected in spring and remain pitched throughout the year. This means the awning and all it's materials have to experience some harsh weather conditions including heavy rain, gusty wind and probably the most damaging UV sunlight.
The all new Kampa All Season awning has been designed around the classic Kampa Rally lightweight range but with a whole range of massive improvement. Every element of this product has been looked at and modified even down to the clips which hold the awning to the frame. Many of the parts you would normally expect to be made from plastic or nylon have been replaced with stainless steel or aluminium to cope with the demands of an all season product. The awning features a brand new storm strap system and even includes marquee style super tough pegs.
